Full Time - Building Designer/Drafter - Immediate start

Nest Residential Design are looking for a full-time Building Designer-Draftsperson. In this pivotal role, you will use your exceptional design and technical skills to create innovative and functional residential building plans. Working closely with our clients and local Consultants, you will play a key part in bringing their visions to life. Based in our Nowra office, this role offers the opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of our thriving design practice.

What you’ll be doing

Producing detailed building design plans for residential builds and renovations
Collaborating with clients to understand their requirements and translate their ideas into practical designs
Ensuring all designs comply with relevant building codes and regulations
Liaising with local authorities to obtain necessary approvals and permits
Providing support and guidance to our clients throughout the building design process

What we’re looking for

Tertiary qualification in Architecture, Building Design or a related field
Extensive experience in residential building design, drafting and project management
Excellent technical skills in ArchiCAD or AutoCAD
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to overcome design challenges
Outstanding communication and client relationship skills
Passionate about creating functional, aesthetically-pleasing living spaces
Committed to staying up-to-date with industry trends and regulations
