Illawarra Poly Coatings currently has a great opportunity for a motivated apprentice to join our team.
We are a fast-paced, small business that prides ourselves on quality workmanship on all projects we work on.
During the Furniture Finishing Apprenticeship, you will be working full time 38 hours per week while studying a Certificate III in Furniture Finishing.
You would be gaining experience working one on one with the owner.

Applicants will ideally meet the following criteria:

Be eligible to complete an apprenticeship
Be well presented, enthusiastic, reliable and punctual
Be motivated with a positive attitude
Drivers license and own transport (preferred but not essential)
Attention to detail
Have the ability to understand written and verbal instruction
Have an interest in furniture finishing (French Polish)
Committed to completing a 4 year apprenticeship

Duties may include but not limited to:

Sanding and preparing of raw materials
Measuring and wrapping completed job
Loading and unloading jobs (heavy lifting will be required)
Maintenance of the workshop
Applying coatings and finishes to furniture
