Operations & Marketing Assistant

Pro Hire Group is a family owned equipment hire company based in Unanderra with a Wollongong branch to open early next year!

We are seeking a motivated and hard working person to work in our front of house sales and retail shop.

The position will start as casual with full time hours. Saturday work may be required from time to time.

We are looking for someone with previous customer service / marketing and office experience.

Candidates will have the opportunity to grow with the business and progress to Full Time Permanent employment.


Previous experience in an office/sales role

Intermediate experience in Word, Excel and Outlook is a must

Experience in graphics design and marketing (highly desirable)

Exceptional customer service skills and professional presentation

Ability to work in a team or independently

Strong organisational skills and the ability and multi-task

Willingness to learn about the hire equipment we offer

Certificates in Business Administration / Marketing (highly desirable)

Willingness to get your hands dirty and be involved in physical working activities


The Role:

You will be required to start work at 7am, 5 days per week.

A day in the role would involve front desk hire sales, booking in hire equipment, preparing documentation and taking payments. You will manage customer inquiries and quotes by phone and face and take phone messages. You will manage customer payments and end of day reporting.

You will process and monitor retail sales stock. You will be keeping track of stock levels and ordering stock when necessary as well as keeping our database up to date and run stock-take when required.

You will assist in social media marketing, including facebook and Instagram and assist with marketing campaigns.

You will spend your day multi-tasking and being involved in all aspects of the day to day running of the business. You will spend some time organising and cleaning and may be required to assist other staff members with task such as printing, photocopying and data entry.
