The ACFI Officer is responsible for supporting the home(s) to optimise subsidy via the Aged Care Funding Instrument (ACFI) to best support resident’s care needs. The role involves managing the day-to-day ACFI appraisals and implementing the Warrigal’s standardised ACFI management system. The ACFI Officer will work in collaboration with the Service Manager, Deputies and the care team to ensure completion of ACFI assessments, care plans and other documentary evidence required by appropriately skilled staff to support claims. This role will also involve influencing and educating team members in key processes to achieve optimal ACFI funding.

  • Minimum three years experience in aged care
  • Excellent knowledge of ACFI systems, processes and related legislative requirements
  • Contemporary theoretical knowledge on all aspects of the assessment and care planning processes
  • Demonstrated high caliber interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Excellent computer and technology skills (Microsoft office, internet, mobile computing)
  • Strong analytical skills with an eye for detail
  • Excellent organisational skills and time management
  • Ability to work cooperatively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Flexible to travel as required
  • Current drivers licence
