Full Time – 12-Month Contract 

An exceptional opportunity awaits with a leading financial services (Banking) client. Elevate your career by joining our client’s management team as a Financial Controller. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will leverage your extensive banking or financial services experience to lead a dynamic team of four. This role involves regulatory reporting, daily treasury operations, liquidity management, month-end reporting, and the preparation of annual accounts.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Review annual accounts and lead the external audit process.
• Oversee all regulatory reporting, maintaining comprehensive knowledge of relevant APRA standards.Review BAS, TOFA, payroll tax, and annual tax returns.
• Manage treasury operations, cash flow, and investment strategies.
• Drive continuous improvement in reporting processes and data relevance.
• Review and develop procedures and flowcharts for critical finance functions.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
• Professional certification such as CPA, CFA, or CMA is highly preferred.
• Proven experience in a senior finance role (e.g., Finance Manager, Financial Controller), ideally within the banking or financial services industry.
• Comprehensive knowledge of financial regulations, compliance requirements, and accounting standards.
• Demonstrated expertise in risk management, including the identification and mitigation of financial risks.
